Well readers, another Summer has come to an end and I have unused vacation days to take so I will be gone and no posts will be posted until September 7^th. However upon my return I hope to have some new additions to the blog, more on that in the future. So to the readers of these posts I will see you in about a week.

OK if I am off having a good time I might as well leave a couple of links that are fun and frivolous.

• I have written here before of Douglas Adams and the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the galaxy books. There was a game in the early eighties that was brilliant. It is a text game and a throwback to the time of no graphics. It really is wonderful.

• There is another older game called Grow. Essentially you add in parts and depending on what order you add them you get very different results. There are many variations of the game on the left. I linked to my favorite. This is a great game to try when you have five minutes. However it is very addictive

Both games are friendly to anyone and are not violent. Have fun, experiment with computers for the fun of it and just give it a try.
