A picture is now worth a billion words

If you enjoy photographs then this one is for you. These three pictures are taken by the Global Connection Project. Now these are not just the usual picture. They were taken with high definition robotic cameras and a lot of them. The cool thing is that once you click on a picture, it allows you to zoom in amazingly close with almost perfect resolution. The three are of a Guatemalan market, the Grand Canyon, and the Golden Gate Bridge. I believe there are plans for a lot more. Also these pictures are being used in conjunction with Google Maps and Google Earth to offer immediate aerial and satellite imaging support to disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, as well as the October 2005 earthquake in Pakistan. Give it a try!
