“Photography deals exquisitely with appearances, but nothing is what it appears to be.” Duane Michals

Yesterday we had a Photoshop Elements class here at central. I try to instill a sense of belief that you can create anything you desire in a photograph. If it has not happened, it could with the right software. It seemed yesterday that the students got the idea of creation of moments in time. However I like to show on the blog stuff I do not have time for in class. The video below is a perfect example of what can be done when it comes to Photoshop. The more subtle changes makes a more believable photo. An example in the video is just the whitening of the teeth and how it makes a big difference. Also it does a nice job highlighting the differences at the end and showing what was done. Check out the video and then grab some photos and give it a try.

Note: The artists is using Photoshop and not Elements but a good portion of what is done can still be done with the lesser program.
